Biographical notes:

Józef SerafinJózef Serafin
was a student of Prof. Bronisław Rutkowski and Prof. Jan Jargoń (1968 – diploma with distinction, State Higher School of Music in Kraków, today Krzysztof Penderecki Academy of Music in Kraków), Prof. Flor Peeters, and Prof. Anton Heiller (1972 – diploma with distinction, Hochschule für Musik und darstellende Kunst in Vienna). He is a laureate of first prizes, among others at the national organ competition in Warsaw (1967) and the international organ competition in Nuremberg (1972). He has given concerts in almost all European countries, as well as in the USA, Canada, Japan and Kazakhstan. He is the director of international organ and chamber music festivals in Kamień Pomorski and Leżajsk and the international festival of young organists "Juniores Priores" in Sejny. He has served on the jury of many international organ competitions (including Prague, Nuremberg, Paris-Chartres, Mainz, Gdańsk). He is a retired professor of organ classes at the Fryderyk Chopin University of Music in Warsaw (honorary professor of this university since 2018) and at the Academy of Music in Kraków. In 2016, he received the "Pro Ecclesia et Pontifice" medal from Pope Francis.

Chamber Choir of the Academy of Art in SzczecinChamber Choir of the Academy of Art in Szczecin
was established in 2010 together with the establishment of a new higher artistic school – the Academy of Art. The choir brings together students and graduates of the Academy who want to develop their musical passions. Its repertoire includes vocal and vocal-instrumental works of various genres by composers from different eras. It has given many concerts in Poland, as well as in Denmark, Ireland and Germany. It has taken part in many festivals, including in Szczecin, Kamień Pomorski, Neuruppin and Greifswald. It has won numerous awards in choral competitions, including: Grand Prix in Lublin (Cantantes Lublinensis), Łódź (Cantio Lodziensis), Croatia (Chorus Inside); Golden Diplomas: in Międzyzdroje (International Festival of Choral Song), Legnica (Legnica Cantat). The ensemble works under the supervision of prof. Barbara Halec.

Barbara HalecBarbara Halec
is a graduate of the Szczecin branch of the Academy of Music in Poznań, in the class of prof. Ryszard Handke. Since 2003, she has lectured at the Szczecin branch of the Academy of Music in Poznań, where, in addition to conducting, she led vocal ensembles and the Faculty Choir. Since 2010, she has been the conductor of the Chamber Choir of the Academy of Art, with which she has performed many times in Poland and abroad. She has participated in choral festivals and competitions, winning distinctions and awards. Since 2010, she has been the vice-dean, since 2016 the dean of the Faculty of Music Education, and since 2020 the Chairwoman of the Disciplinary Council of the Academy of Art in Szczecin. She obtained the title of doctor of musical art (in the discipline of conducting) from the Fryderyk Chopin University of Music in Warsaw, and the degree of habilitated doctor in the same discipline from the Academy of Music in Gdańsk. Awarded with the honorary badge of Merit for Polish Culture and the Golden Badge of Honor of the Polish Association of Choirs and Orchestras.

The Saxacademus Saxophone QuartetThe Saxacademus Saxophone Quartet,
a group of young Szczecin saxophonists and graduates of the Academy of Art, consists of Wiktoria Kawik on soprano saxophone, Marcin Strzelczuk on alto saxophone, Patrycjusz Pura on tenor saxophone, and Agnieszka Marmol on baritone saxophone. The quartet's members have achieved outstanding artistic achievements, including participation in the 19th World Saxophone Congress and SaxCulture Festival in Spain, the European Saxophone Forum in Wrocław, the Polish Saxophone Congress in Poznań, and the International Saxophone Festival in Szczecin. They have successfully performed numerous concerts in Berlin.
Recently, the quartet completed a successful tour of Italy.
