Biographical notes:
Arkadiusz Bialic studied at the Academy of Music in Kraków, from which he graduated in 2000 with distinction in the class of prof. J. Serafin, and at the Hochschule für Musik in Freiburg im Breisgau under the supervision of professor Z. Szathmara. He participated in master classes (M.C. Alain, G. Bovet, J. Laukvik, L. Lohmann, D. Roth, H. Vogel). In 2001-2003 he studied at the Hochschule für Musik und darstellende Kunst in Frankfurt am Main in the class of prof. D. Roth. He is a laureate of international organ competitions in Brig (1998), Gdańsk (2000) and the Grand Prix de Chartres (2000). He has given concerts throughout Europe. Among his recordings for Polish and Slovak radio and albums is first Polish recording of O. Messiaen's La Nativité du Seigneur (2019).
The Kraków Wind Quintet was formed in 1998 on the basis of the Kraków Reed Trio. The band members met in the Kraków chamber orchestra - Capella Cracoviensis, co-creating a wind group with a universal character for many years. The group has given numerous chamber concerts, performed in European music centers (including Paris and Vienna) and at many national music festivals. The Quintet recorded a Fryderyk Award-nominated album with works by W. A. Mozart, F. Danzi, G. Ligeti, F. Poulenc (2017). The band also premiered Fonoplasticon by Zb. Bargielski and Burleska by M. P. Górecki. The group members conduct pedagogical activities in secondary music schools and in the Academies of Music in Kraków and Katowice.
