In the years 2002-2012 he lectured at the Institute of Musicology of the Catholic University of Lublin. He is an associate professor at the Fryderyk Chopin University of Music in Warszawa.
Duo Manera was established in 2013 as a result of many years of regular cooperation between the two artists, lasting from their studies at the Conservatory in Pilsen and at the Faculty of Music of the Academy of Performing Arts in Prague (class of prof. S. Rak). Soňa Vimrová participates in international competitions at home and abroad (e.g. she was a finalist in Kutná Hora many times). She has given concerts in China, the Czech Republic, Spain, Germany, Poland, Slovenia, Switzerland, and has also performed as a soloist, among others, with the Prague Chamber Philharmonic. Miroslav Žára received a scholarship to the Hochschule für Musik Franz Liszt in Weimar, where he worked under the supervision of prof. Th. Müller Pering. Since 2004 he has been involved in flamenco music (currently teaching flamenco guitar at the International Conservatory in Prague). Since 2008 he has been a member of the orchestra of the Musical Theatre in Karlín (Prague district).
